Photography Class

Here are a few of my earlier portraits. I took a class while I was in NYC. These were done in the studio with real lighting. I know that there are a fair bit of technical issues to some of these, but I wanted to put them up. Thanks to all my fellow classmates for being great sports!

Some R and D

I am very excited about an upcoming engagement shoot next weekend. Carolyn and I have been talking about this for a while, and a few weeks ago we were able to sit down with the bride to be to get some inspiration. She has a lot of cool ideas that she wants to try out, and Carolyn had some too. One idea that she likes is the confetti shot. I wanted to try it out first so we took some test shots. I learned a lot, and I hope that we can implement this in some way for the actual engagement shoot. The first shot is of Carolyn getting ready to throw those brightly colored pom poms right at my face. I think she really enjoyed that part.

This was actually my very first try. Of course it was the one that came out the best. Beginners luck is always a real treat!

Playing in the Clouds with Horses

I thought I should end my cloud posts with my favorite shots. There was a small enclosure with four beautiful horses grazing for their breakfast in the clouds. They were very peaceful, and I am very appreciative of their cooperation.
